Solomon Kpou writes Bible-centred books for believers and church leaders. His books walk alongside people in Scripture, from the woman at the well and the woman who bled for twelve years to David, Barabbas and Pontius Pilate, and they speak honestly about leadership, character, calling and spiritual abuse in the Church.
Alongside his studies of Scripture he writes devotionals for daily reading, such as Noon: 40 Days with the One Who Waits at the Well. His books are published by Life Reclaimed Publishing, his independent publishing house in Perth, Western Australia.
Solomon is both a pastor and a youth worker. For nine years he has worked with children and young people with complex needs, many of them carrying trauma they did not choose, and some caught up in the youth justice system. Those two callings meet in his writing: he reads Scripture with a pastor's heart and reads people as someone who has sat with the hurting and the overlooked.
As a pastor, Solomon has a heart for the people in the pews as much as for those behind the pulpit. He writes for the believer carrying shame, the leader who is weary or wounded, and the church that needs to rediscover the way of the Good Shepherd. Again and again his books return to one conviction: Jesus still meets people at their lowest point and restores what was lost.
His books are written to be read slowly and put to use, alone, with a friend or in a small group. Several are written as companions to one another, so a reader can move from a story to a forty-day devotional, or from a call to the church to a call to the next generation.
Solomon is married to Prophetess Kamba Angelina Kpou, known to many as Mama K, and they have six children: Georgina, Christina, Giftens, Bruce, David and Eliana. Together they are part of the Waymakers Church family in Perth, Western Australia.
Through Life Reclaimed Publishing, Solomon also helps independent authors take their manuscripts all the way to finished books in print and eBook.
